Police investigate business break and enter.

One suspect is in custody following a break and enter in Dartmouth.​ ​

At 8:09 p.m., police responded to the NSLC Store located at 210 Wyse Road for a break and enter in progress. The Security Guard at Sobeys which is next door to the NSLC Store heard a loud smash at the NSLC Store and when he went to investigate he noticed two panes of glass at the front of the NSLC Store had been smashed out with a rock which was lying in an isle inside the store.

Upon further investigation he noticed a male inside the store loading up two black bags with NSLC product. The Security Guard immediately notified police.

When police arrived at the NSLC store the suspect had just exited the store and began to flee from police. There was a short foot pursuit and the police arrested the suspect and recovered the stolen product.

A 56-year male, from Upper Whitehead, Nova Scotia, is currently in custody and the investigation is ongoing. Charges are pending.
