Halifax Regional Police are currently on scene of a shooting in Dartmouth
At approximately 5:18 p.m., police received a report of a shooting in the area of Lahey Road and Catherine Street in Dartmouth.
There is no report of injuries, and police are in the preliminary stages of the investigation.
At this time there is no risk to public safety.
A number of officers are currently on scene, and we ask that people avoid the area while police conduct their investigation.
More details will be available at a later time when they become available.
Investigators are asking anyone with information about the incident or video from the area to call police at 902-490-5020.
