On February 16, Halifax District RCMP responded to a report of an SUV towing another vehicle with a rope on Hwy. 103 in Upper Tantallon.

RCMP wants to remind the public that towing vehicles with rope is not only illegal, but it’s also unsafe. The driver of the SUV was charged and the second vehicle was taken away by a tow truck at the owners expense. The fine for unsafe towing on a highway is $237.50 for the first offence.

The RCMP would like to thank the motorists who reported this and for making the roads safer for everyone.
