Quinpool Road – Lane Drop for Wastewater System Maintenance
On Tuesday, October 20, and Wednesday, October 21, Halifax Water crews will be undertaking work to reinstate the curb and sidewalk near 6237 Quinpool Road. This work will take place between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM.
During this work, Quinpool Road will be reduced to three lanes, two inbound lanes and a single outbound lane. The sidewalk will be closed near the work zone; a marked detour will be in place. See attached map.
Motorists should expect delays and use alternate routes. Motorists are also reminded that speed fines double in work zones.
There will be no loss of water, wastewater or stormwater services as a result of this work.

Rutledge Street Closure – Water Main Valve Replacement
On Tuesday, October 20, Halifax Water crews will be undertaking work to replace a water main valve on Rutledge Street near its intersection with the Bedford Highway. This work will take place between 10:00 AM and approximately noon.
During this work, Rutledge Street will be closed Bedford Highway and Bedford Street.
Motorists should expect delays and use alternate routes. Motorists are also reminded that speed fines double in work zones.
