Update
The area of Bayers Road from Windsor Street to Connolly Street as well as Oxford Street from Liverpool Street to Edgewood Avenue is now reopened to vehicle and pedestrian traffic.

Traffic Advisory via HRP
Police are assisting Halifax Regional Fire and Emergency in relation to a gas leak in the area of Oxford Street and Bayers Road in Halifax.
Bayers Road from Windsor Street to Connolly Street is closed to vehicle and pedestrian traffic. Oxford Street from Liverpool Street to Edgewood Avenue is also closed.
Police are asking the public to remain away from the area. Those in the area are asked not to start their cars.
Please use alternate routes to avoid delays.
