Police charge man for sexual offences
Halifax Regional Police has charged a man in relation to an incident that occurred in Dartmouth yesterday.
At approximately 2 p.m., officers were at a retail location at 21 Mic Mac Boulevard for a report of a suspicious person. The man was then observed approaching and touching a person not known to him. Officers arrested the man at the scene after a brief foot pursuit and struggle.
Cole William George Fidgen, 27, was scheduled to appear in Dartmouth provincial court today to face charges related to sexual offences, resisting arrest and failing to comply with court orders.
No further details will be released out of respect for the victim’s privacy.
