Colchester County District RCMP charges man after search warrant executions

Colchester County District RCMP has charged a Truro man with drug trafficking offences.

On March 7, the Colchester County District RCMP Community Action Team executed search warrants at a residence in Truro Heights and a storage facility in Truro in connection with an ongoing investigation.

At the storage facility, a 41-year-old man was safely arrested.

During the searches, officers seized cocaine, methamphetamine, digital scales, cell phones and cash.

Robert Joseph Chestnut has been charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (cocaine) and Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (methamphetamine).

Chestnut was remanded into custody and appeared in Truro Provincial Court on March 10. He was released on conditions pending a future court appearance.
