Police Investigate Vehicle Collision and Arrest Driver

At 1:38 a.m., Halifax Regional Police received a report of a Motor Vehicle Collision where a pickup truck struck a utility pole in the 100 block of Eaglewood Drive Bedford, knocking the power out in the area, and a male drive running from the truck.​ Halifax Regional Police and a Police Service Dog searched the area for the driver, but did not locate the driver.​ ​ ​

2:05 a.m. RCMP member located and arrested the driver in Lower Sackville.​ A 27-year-old male will appear in Dartmouth Court on a later date and is facing the following Criminal charges: Operation of a Conveyance while Impaired, Refusal to comply with demand for testing and Failing to Remain at the Scene of an Accident.
