In July Hope for Wildlife posted about an orphaned baby bobcat that was found very dehydrated and very cold. Look at him now – showing off his incredible balancing skills!

A tiny 836 grams when he came in, he now weighs almost 4 kg, and he will be with us a while longer before he’s ready for release.

Did you know bobcats are a member of the lynx family? In Canada, we have two lynx species: the Canada Lynx and the Bobcat. The Canada Lynx has very large paws, which allows it to move through deep snow very easily. This allows it to elusive and live in areas where there is little human presence.

Bobcats, on the other hand, have much smaller paws, so you’re more likely to find them in areas will less snowfall, and that often puts them closer to human habitats.
