Police charge man for damaging property during demonstration

Police have charged a man in relation to causing property damage during a demonstration in Halifax yesterday.

Police were on scene of a demonstration at Province House located at 1726 Hollis Street. A man, who was in the group of demonstrators, threw a rock at a window of the legislative building causing damage to the window. The man resisted officers as they attempted to arrest him.

A 35-year-old man is scheduled to appear in Halifax Provincial Court at a later date to face charges of mischief and resisting arrest.
