Queens District RCMP has charged two men, ages 38 and 39, with violating the Health Protection Act.
At approximately 3:15 p.m. on May 1, police were notified that four men were at a property in Labelle, and that all men were from the Halifax Regional Municipality.
Police located the four men, and two of them left the property and returned to the Halifax Regional Municipality. The other two men refused to leave and told officers to fine them. Both men were charged under the Health Protection Act for non-essential travel outside of their municipality.
The RCMP is reminding everyone to follow all Public Health orders, and municipal bylaws. We all need to do our part to reduce the spread of COVID-19.
