Police charge man for leaving the scene of a crash at Point Pleasant Park

A man has been charged for leaving the scene of a crash at Point Pleasant Park in Halifax yesterday morning.​ ​

At approximately 11:15 a.m. on April 1, park staff reported that earlier in the day a vehicle had struck the locked lower gate of Point Pleasant Park located at 5530 Point Pleasant Drive. The vehicle was observed leaving the scene with a significant amount of damage. Officers conducted an investigation, which led them to identify the driver of the vehicle.

A 77-year-old man from Head of St. Margaret’s Bay was issued a summary offence ticket for failing to stop immediately at the scene of an accident. ​
