Parking ban will not be enforced, residents asked to respect MVA
The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents that the overnight winter parking ban will not be enforced tonight. This decision comes after careful review and consideration regarding the increased demand for on-street parking surrounding healthcare facilities.
Residents are asked for their continued support and consideration when choosing where to park. Regardless of location, per Section 139 of the Nova Scotia Motor Vehicle Act, vehicles may be ticketed or towed if they are deemed to be obstructing snow removal. No proactive ticketing or towing will occur during this weather event.
