Windsor Street – Wastewater System Maintenance
On October 20 – 21, Eastern Trenchless, on behalf of Halifax Water, will be undertaking trenchless wastewater system rehabilitation work on Windsor Street near its intersection with Young Street. This work will take place from 7:00 AM until approximately 7:00 PM both days.
There will be lane drops in the work zone; see attached map. These lane drops may also impact the cycling lane within the work zone.
CIPP lining involves reinforcing the inside of ageing underground pipes with a fabric liner that is saturated with a resin and then cured using UV light. This process is significantly less intrusive to traffic than traditional open-trench excavations for pipe replacement work that would otherwise need to be done.
Motorists should expect delays and use alternate routes. Motorists are also reminded that speed fines double in work zones.

Rocky Lake Road – Lane Drop for Wastewater System Maintenance
On the nights of October 20 and 21, Dexter Construction, on behalf of Halifax Water, will be completing wastewater system maintenance on Rocky Lake Road at/near its intersection with Bedford Highway. This work will take place at from 6:30 PM to 6:00 AM 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM the following morning.
This work will require a lane drop near the work zone. Experienced traffic control personnel will be on-site.
Motorists should expect delays and use alternate routes. Motorists are also reminded that speed fines double in work zones.

High Street – Wastewater System Maintenance
On October 22, Eastern Trenchless, on behalf of Halifax Water, will be undertaking trenchless wastewater system rehabilitation work on High Street. This work will take place from 7:00 AM until approximately 7:00 PM.
High Street will be open to local traffic only between Lady Hammond Road and Normandy Drive during this work.

Ellenvale Avenue – Lane Drop for Stormwater System Maintenance
Beginning on October 21, Harbour Construction, on behalf of Halifax Water, will be undertaking work in a portion of Ellenvale Run. This work will include heavy equipment and material storage near 15 & 19 Ellenvale Avenue, requiring a lane drop in that area; see attached map.
This work is expected to be complete by October 31.
Experienced traffic control will be on-site to direct traffic around the impacted area.
Motorists should expect delays and use alternate routes. Motorists are also reminded that speed fines double in work zones.
