Work details: This work is to support the Halifax Infirmary Expansion Project
Traffic impact: Cogswell Street, between Robie and North Park streets, will be closed and one westbound lane on Bell Road will be closed.
Traffic will not be able to access Cogswell Street from Quinpool Road, it will be detoured via Bell Road. All westbound traffic on Bell Road will be directed into one lane. All eastbound traffic on Bell Road will continue as usual. Signed detours will be in place for vehicles and pedestrians.
Drivers should expect delays and are asked to use alternative routes whenever possible.
Pedestrian impact: Pedestrians are asked to use alternative crosswalks to navigate around the intersection as the sidewalks will be closed.
Transit Impact: Inbound Transit routes 9A, 9B, 123 and 127 will be detoured via Robie Street to Veterans Memorial Lane and to Summer St with a temporary bus stop on Veterans Memorial Lane.
Outbound Transit routes 9A, 9B, 123, 127, 182,183,185, 186, 192, 194 and 196 will be detoured on Summer Street via Veterans Memorial Lane with a temporary bus stop placed on Veterans Memorial Lane.
Bus stop 6291 on Bell Road, between Robie and Summer Street, and bus stops 8363 and 2304 on Summer Street, between Bell Road and Veterans Memorial Lane, will be temporarily closed.
