Man stabbed in Dartmouth
Police are investigating a stabbing in downtown Dartmouth early this morning.
At approximately, 1:40 a.m., police were called to Ranya Lane in Dartmouth where a man was found lying on the ground suffering from stab wounds. He was transported to hospital where his injuries were determined to be non-life threatening.
The victim, a 29-year-old man, describes the attack as being unprovoked. He was walking along the sidewalk when he was stabbed from behind. While he did not see who stabbed him, he does describe seeing a man after the attack with a goatee and black hoodie with a yellow stripe. Police would like to speak to that man.
Anyone who may have information about the incident is asked to call police at 902-490-5020.
Police are also looking for anyone who may have video or dashcam footage from the Nantucket bus terminal, Wyse Road, Boland Road and Rayna Lane between 12:30 a.m. and 2:00 a.m..
