Update: People identified related to reported suspicious circumstances in Middleton

Annapolis District RCMP has identified the two people they were seeking in relation to a report of suspicious circumstances in Middleton last month.

On the evening of August 10, two people attended a business on Main St. and witnesses reported concerns for the safety of one of the individuals; officers wanted to identify and follow up with them.

After a request for information was shared with media and the public in early September, the people involved contacted police and confirmed that there were no safety issues related to the incident. The person who had been reported to be a youth was an adult and no criminal offences were committed.

Nova Scotians are encouraged to contact their nearest RCMP detachment or local police to report crime, including suspicious circumstances and public safety concerns, in their communities. Anonymous tips can be made by calling Nova Scotia Crime Stoppers, toll-free, at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), submitting a secure web tip at www.crimestoppers.ns.ca, or using the P3 Tips app.
