UPDATE: Man wanted on province-wide arrest warrant has been arrested

Donnie Matthew Whitty, 51, from Cape Breton, who was wanted on a province-wide arrest warrant was located and safely arrested on July 1.

The RCMP would like to thank the public for their shares on social media.

RCMP Halifax Regional Detachment is seeking information on the whereabouts of a man currently wanted on a province-wide arrest warrant.

Donnie Matthew Whitty, 51, from Cape Breton, is wanted and facing a charge of Theft Over $5,000.

Whitty is described as 5-foot-9, 194 lbs and has hazel eyes.

Police have made several attempts to locate Whitty; however, investigators are requesting assistance from the public.

Anyone who has information on the whereabouts of Donnie Matthew Whitty is asked to refrain from approaching him and to call police at 902-490-5020.
