Update: male suspect is in custody. The investigation continues and charges are expected. Police are not looking for any further suspects.

Halifax Regional Police are investigating a weapons complaint in the 3600 Block of Bright Street, Halifax early this evening.

At approximately 5:13 p.m. police received a report of a man who had been injured due to puncture wound. The injured male was transported to a local hospital for treatment of what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 50 to 60 years of age, balding and wearing a green parka.

The incident remains under investigation and police are asking anyone with information about this incident to call 902-490-5016.
