Police Investigate Weapons Call (Shooting) – Dartmouth

At 10:09 p.m., Halifax Regional Police responded to a report of male en route to the QE2 Hospital, after having been shot in the area of Lahey Road, Dartmouth.​ Officers arrived on scene and confirmed a shooting had taken place.​

Multiple officers are currently on scene, including K-9, and Forensic Identification members. We ask that people avoid the area.​

The QE2 Hospital has been placed in locked down and officers are on scene.

Investigators with the General Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division are conducting the investigation.​ The investigation is in its preliminary stages and is ongoing.​ ​ ​

Update: Halifax Regional Police confirm that investigators have cleared the scene of the shooting on Lahey Road in Dartmouth.​ The QE2 Hospital is no longer in a state of emergency lock down, and the 26-year-old male victim is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries. No suspect information is available at this time.
