Police Investigate a Stabbing Call – Halifax

At 8:34 p.m., 29th of July, Halifax Regional Police responded to a report of a teenage female with a stab wound that was in a physical altercation with an adult male in the 100 block of Carnation Crest Halifax.​ Patrol officers responded locating the injured female (15 yrs), with a non-life-threatening injury to a hand.​ Police also located the adult male (60 yrs) with minor injuries.​

Officers learned the injured female arrived with a group to confront another teenager and produced a knife.​ The adult male intervened and during the struggle both were injured.​ The injured female has been transported to the hospital.​ The male declined medical treatment.​

Investigators with Patrol and the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division are conducting the investigation, which is on going.​ The 15 year old female is facing charges of Assault with a Weapon and Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose, and will appear in Halifax court on a later date.​
