Traffic Delay – Oxford Street
Location: Oxford Street from Chebucto Road to Quinpool Road
Date: Wednesday, October 11 to Tuesday, October 31
Time: 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. (weekdays only)
Work details: This work includes concrete curb and sidewalk renewal, which supports 2021-25 Regional Council Strategic Priorities Plan to establish a safe and accessible integrated mobility network.
Traffic impact: An altered centre line will be in place while work is underway. Motorists should expect delays and are asked to take alternative routes whenever possible.

Traffic Delay – Beaverbank Road
Location: Beaverbank Road, from Majestic Avenue to Danny Drive
Date: Tuesday, October 10 to Friday, October 20
Time: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. (weekdays only)
Work details: This work includes asphalt repair, in support of the 2021-25 Regional Council Strategic Priorities Plan to establish a safe and accessible integrated mobility network.
Traffic impact: Stop-and-go traffic will be in place while work is underway. Motorists should expect delays and are asked to take alternative routes whenever possible.

Traffic Delay – University Avenue
Location: University Avenue, between Robie Street and Summer Street
Date: Tuesday, October 10 to Tuesday, November 21
Time: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily (weekdays only)
Work details: This work is to facilitate a natural gas pipeline installation.
Traffic impact: Lane reductions and stop & go traffic as required. Signed detour will be in place when working at the intersection of Robie Street and University Avenue.

Road Closure – Jubilee Road
Location: Jubilee Road, between Vernon Street and Robie Street
Date: Wednesday, October 11 to Wednesday, November 1
Time: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. (weekdays only)
Work Details: This closure is to facilitate a gas main installation.
Traffic Impact: Jubilee Road will be closed to eastbound traffic between Vernon Street and Robie Street for the duration of the work. The road will remain open to westbound traffic entering from Robie Street and other side streets. Eastbound traffic with be detoured via Vernon Street and Coburg Road.
At least one side of sidewalk will remain open at all times. Motorists should expect delays and are asked to use alternative routes where possible.

Location: Robie Street, from College Street and South Street
Date: Tuesday, October 10 to Tuesday, November 21
Time: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. (weekdays only)
Work details: This work is to facilitate natural gas pipeline installation.
Traffic impact: Lane reductions and stop & go traffic will be in place while work is taking place.

CAPE BRETON REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Commercial Street Bridge, Glace Bay
Commercial Street Bridge will be closed for repairs from Sunday, October 8, until November 17.
A detour will be in place.

CAPE BRETON REGIONAL MUNICIPALTY: Georges River Bridge, Long Island
Georges River Bridge on Long Island Road is closed for repairs until Friday, October 13.
A detour is in place.

ANTIGONISH COUNTY: Salt Springs Brook Bridge, Trunk 7
Salt Springs Brook Bridge on Trunk 7, about four kilometres south of the Town of Antigonish, is reduced to one lane until further notice for repairs.
Temporary traffic signals are in place.

ANTIGONISH COUNTY: Trunk 4, Antigonish
Trunk 4 between James and Church streets is closed, except to local traffic, until October 19 for construction of a roundabout.
Detour signs are in place.

COLCHESTER COUNTY: Donaldson Bridge, French River
Donaldson Bridge on Lake Road, about three kilometres west of Tatamagouche, is closed until further notice.
The detours are on Trout Brook Road and Cooper Road.

COLCHESTER COUNTY: Old Truro Road, Tatamagouche
Old Truro Road, from Kennedy Hill intersection to the Cross Road in North River, is closed until further notice due to a large culvert failure.
A detour is in place.

COLCHESTER COUNTY: Salmon River Bridge, Truro
Salmon River Bridge, on Highway 102 between exits 14 and 14A, is reduced to one lane northbound until October 31 for work on the bridge decking.
Traffic control is on-site. Work takes place weekdays from sunrise to sunset.

COLCHESTER COUNTY: Slade Road, Tatamagouche
Slade Road is closed between Lake Road and West Tatamagouche Road until further notice because of a bridge closure.

CUMBERLAND COUNTY: Fountain Road, South Middleboro
Fountain Road, between Hunter Road and Simmonds Road, is closed until October 31 for removal and replacement of the Howard Bridge.
Traffic will be detoured from Fountain Road via Simmonds Road and Keers Mill Road.
Vehicles more than four metres wide need to plan an alternate route because of the width of structures on the detour route.

GUYSBOROUGH COUNTY: Trunk 16, Lincolnville
Trunk 16, from 0.2 kilometres north of the Old Monastery Road northerly to 1.4 kilometres north of the Lincolnville Loop, has alternating lane closures for paving and brush cutting until October 31.
Traffic control is on-site. Work takes place weekdays from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.

HALIFAX REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Highway 102, Bedford / Lower Sackville
Highway 102 from Exit 4A to Exit 4C has lane reductions and intermittent road closures in both directions for the construction of the Highway 107-Highway 102 interchange, until October 30.
Traffic control will be on-site. Work takes place from sunrise to sunset.

HALIFAX REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Highway 111 (Windsor Street Exchange), Halifax
Construction on the structure over Mackintosh Street is underway and will continue through October. Traffic control is on-site.

HANTS COUNTY: Highway 101, Windsor
The eastbound off-ramp at Exit 6, Highway 101, is closed for the construction of a new interchange to downtown Windsor.
A detour is available via Exit 5A. The off-ramp is closed until December.

HANTS COUNTY: Hydes Bridge, Lantz
Hydes Bridge on Highway 277 is closed until further notice.
A detour is in place via Dutch Settlement Road, Elmsdale Road and Trunk 2. Signs are in place.

INVERNESS COUNTY: Highway 105, Big Marsh Road
Highway 105 from Big Marsh Road easterly for five kilometres is reduced to one lane for surfacing work until October 31.
Traffic control will be on-site. Work takes place from 6 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

LUNENBURG COUNTY: Indian Path Bridge, Bayport
Indian Path Bridge, Route 332, is closed for replacement until further notice.
A detour is in place.

PICTOU COUNTY: Highway 104 and Highway 106, Alma
Highway 104 at Exit 22 to Exit 2 on Highway 106 is reduced to one lane for paving until October 31.
Traffic control is on-site. Work takes place weekdays from 6 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.

PICTOU COUNTY: Trunk 4, Broadway
Trunk 4 between civic numbers 10421 and 10470 is closed for culvert replacement until October 14.
The detour is via Highway 104 between Exit 27 at Sutherland River and Exit 29 at Kenzieville.

RICHMOND COUNTY: Highway 104, Port Hawkesbury
Highway 104, at St. Peters Railway overpass, is reduced to one lane for repairs until October 14.
Traffic control is on-site. Work takes place weekdays from 6 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Highway 104, from Whiteside to Louisdale, is reduced to one lane for surfacing work until October 31.
