Update: The 20-year-old who was reported missing from Quarry Island on July 24 has been located and is safe.
The RCMP would like to thank the public for their assistance and retweets on social media.
Pictou County District RCMP is asking for assistance from the public to locate 20-year-old Gabrielle Bridget Ann Basque, who was last seen on July 22 on Quarry Island.
Basque is described as an Indigenous female, 4-foot-9 and 100 pounds with brown eyes and brown hair. When last seen, she was wearing grey jogging pants, a white t-shirt and no footwear.
When someone goes missing, it has deep and far-reaching impacts for the person and those that know them. We ask that people spread the word through social media respectfully.
