Yesterday, a motorist was stopped by RCMP Northwest Traffic Services for travelling 44km/hr over the limit on Hwy. 104 in #Westchester, Municipality of Cumberland.
The driver was determined to be impaired and was found in possession of 16 cases of illegal cigarettes, cannabis and liquor. He will face Impaired Driving charges and a charge related to the illegal cigarettes. He was issued $446.25 in fines and his vehicle was seized.
Alcohol and speed are two of four causal factors in fatal and serious injury collisions on our roads. Slow down. Drive sober.
