Valley Integrated Street Crime Enforcement Unit charge two with drug offences

The Valley Integrated Street Crime Enforcement Unit has charged two people with drug offences in Gibson Woods.

On April 27, 2023, as part of an ongoing investigation, the Valley Integrated Street Crime Enforcement Unit conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on Belcher St. in Port Williams. The vehicle pulled into the driveway of a home and then came to a stop. Officers safely arrested the male driver and found him in possession of Cocaine, bear spray, brass knuckles and cash.

Officers then executed a search warrant at a home on Gibson Woods Rd. in Gibson Woods. Officers located a woman in the home and she was safely arrested. During the search, officers located and seized Cocaine, a rifle, an imitation handgun, ammunition, scales and packaging.

Evan States, 22, and Kayla Gero, 22, both of Gibson Woods, have been charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking, Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm, Possession of a Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized and Unsafe Storage of a Firearm.

States is also charged with Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited Weapon.

Both were released on conditions and will appear in Kentville Provincial Court on June 28, 2023.

The investigation was assisted by the Kings District RCMP General Investigation Section, South Shore Integrated Street Crime Enforcement Unit, Lunenburg District RCMP, the Bridgewater Police Service, the Kentville Police Service and the Criminal Intelligence Service of Nova Scotia.

Valley Integrated Street Crime Enforcement Unit charge two with drug offences

The Valley Integrated Street Crime Enforcement Unit has charged two people with drug offences in North Kentville.

On May 11, 2023, as part of an ongoing drug investigation, the Valley Integrated Street Crime Enforcement Unit conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on Scott Dr. in North Kentville. Officers located two people in the vehicle and both were safely arrested. During a search of the vehicle, officers located and seized Cocaine, Crystal Methamphetamine, Prescription medication, cash, scales and packaging.

Deanna Lynn O’Neil, 36, and Anthony Scott Carpenter, 59, both of Kentville, have been charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking (3 counts).

O’Neil and Carpenter are both also individually charged with Breach of Probation.

O’Neil was held in custody and later released on conditions by the court.

Carpenter was released on conditions after his arrest.

Both will appear in Kentville Provincial Court on July 4, 2023.
