Woman dies in highway collision

Hants Border, Kings County, Nova Scotia 

At 7:17 p.m. on July 3, Kings District RCMP responded to a serious single vehicle collision on Hwy. 101 between Exits 8 and 8A. When police arrived on scene, witnesses told police the small blue vehicle left the highway and rolled, coming to a stop in the median.

The 38-year-old female driver from Kings County was found to be deceased at the scene, while the 57-year-old male passenger sustained serious injuries. He was transported by EHS to hospital.

 

Highway 101 was closed to Westbound traffic between Exits 8 and 8A while an RCMP Collision Analyst attended the scene. Traffic was diverted during that time, and the road was re-opened at 5 a.m.

 

The investigation is ongoing.
