UPDATE: Three men found guilty in Colton Cook homicide
All three men who were charged in the Colton Cook homicide investigation have been found guilty.
On September 26, 2020, a truck belonging to Colton Cook was located on a trail near Pittman Rd. in South Ohio. The truck was on fire at the time it was located. The following day, Colton was reported missing. A search of the area began near where Colton’s truck was located and partial human remains, belonging to Colton, were located. The Southwest Nova RCMP Major Crime Unit took over the investigation and on September 29, the remainder of Colton’s remains were located.
On October 2, the Southwest Nova RCMP Major Crime Unit charged Robert Charles Rogers, 57, and Wayne Richard Crawford, 36, both of Yarmouth County, with Murder and Interfering with Human Remains. Both were remanded into custody. And on December 17, investigators charged Keith Arthur Siscoe Jr., 35, of Yarmouth County, with Accessory After the Fact to Murder. Siscoe Jr. was also remanded into custody.
On July 18, 2022, Siscoe Jr. plead guilty to Accessory After the Fact to Murder and on January 3, 2023, Crawford plead guilty to Second-Degree Murder. Both men remain in custody until their sentencing. Siscoe is scheduled for sentencing on February 3, 2023 and Crawford is scheduled for sentencing on May 30, 2023.
Robert Charles Rogers plead not guilty and during the month of January 2023, a Judge and Jury trial was held in Yarmouth Supreme Court. On January 26, 2023, the jury found Rogers guilty of Second-Degree Murder and Interfering with Human Remains. Rogers remains in custody and will be sentenced at a later date.
