A man has been taken into custody in relation to the incident. Frederick Avenue has been reopened to traffic. There is no threat to public safety.
The investigation is ongoing, and we thank the public for their cooperation.
Police responding to weapons complaint
Police are responding to a weapons complaint in the Frederick Avenue area of Halifax. Frederick Avenue between Alex and Hillcrest streets is closed to vehicle and pedestrian traffic.
Police are asking the public to remain out of the area to allow officers to conduct the investigation.
