RCMP Southwest Nova Major Crime Unit locates human remains in Springfield
RCMP Southwest Nova Major Crime Unit has located human remains in Springfield.
On October 8, RCMP officers began searching a property on Hastings Rd and located human remains. The search was part of an ongoing investigation. Investigators believe the incident was isolated and that there’s no risk to the public.
RCMP officers have engaged the Nova Scotia Medical Examiner’s Office and are continuing to collect information and evidence in relation to the ongoing investigation.
The investigation is being led by the RCMP Southwest Nova Major Crime Unit and assisted by RCMP Forensic Identification Services. More information will be provided as it becomes available.
