Police Investigate Break & Enter and Arrest Suspect

At 12:12 a.m., Halifax Regional Police and a Police Service Dog responded to a report of a Break & Enter in progress at Famous Curry Garden, 5687 Charles Street, Halifax. Callers reported two suspects in black attempting to break into the restaurant.​

Officers arrived within minutes and confirmed the business was secure.​ Officers located and arrested a 63-year-old male inside a secure parking lot without incident.​ Patrol officers and a Police Service Dog searched the area but were unable to locate the second suspect.​ The suspect is described as:

Suspect – female, unknown ethnicity, wearing a black winter jacket and hat.

A 63-year-old male from Halifax is held for court and is facing the following charges: Attempted Break & Enter, Possession of Break Instruments.

Police Investigate Robbery & Arrest Suspect

At 7:25 p.m., on the 10th of October, Halifax Regional Police responded to a report of two robberies at Wendy’s and Tim Horton’s, 106 Ilsley Avenue, Dartmouth.​ Multiple 911 callers reported a male with a knife and wearing a mask entered and demanded money from both businesses.​ The suspect left with an undisclosed amount of money and fled on foot.​ No one involved was injured.​

Multiple patrol units and two Police Service Dogs responded.​ Officers located a male near Wright Avenue matching the suspect description of the suspect and arrested the male without incident.​ Moments later a Police Service tracked to the arrest location.​

The suspect, a 24-year-old male from Halifax is held for court and will be facing charges of Robbery x2, Weapon possession for dangerous purpose and Disguise with Intent.
