Parking temporarily unavailable at QEII Halifax Infirmary’s Summer Street entrance

Please be advised that beginning Tuesday, September 6, 2022, work will begin on the paving and expansion of the Summer Street driveway entrance at the QEII Health Sciences Centre’s Halifax Infirmary (HI). As a result, all metered parking spots near the HI entrance on Summer St. will be temporarily unavailable. The project is expected to be completed in late October.

A small number of accessible parking spots have been created for the duration of this work (see diagram below) however it is recommended that all patients, families and visitors requiring accessible parking use the Robie Street parkade during this time. There is also additional metered parking on the corner of Summer St. and Jubilee Rd. and along Summer St.

All restaurant delivery vehicles should continue to avoid using the Summer St. entrance whenever possible. A parking officer will be on site to ensure patient drop-off remains a priority in this area.
