Makita LXT Cordless Hedge Trimmer Recalled due to Laceration and Injury Hazards

Issue

The guard on the hedge trimmer shear blade was not installed on the affected product, posing a laceration and injury hazards.

 

As of August 2, 2022, the company has received no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada.

Affected products

This recall involves the product Makita LXT Cordless Hedge Trimmer that is identifiable by the Model DUH602RTE and UPC 0 88381 73534 6. Affected units bear serial numbers: 64665Y to 65064Y.

 

What you should do

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled product and contact Makita Canada Inc. for a free repair.
