RCMP request assistance in identifying suspect

Lunenburg County District RCMP is asking the public’s assistance to identify a man in relation to a theft from a store on Pine Grove Rd. in Cookville.

On March 24, 2022, at approximately 10:43 a.m., police responded to a report of a theft from a store on Pine Grove Rd. Police learned that a man filled a large recycling container with various boxes of sports cards. The man left the scene in an awaiting vehicle, after exiting the store through a fire exit with the stolen merchandise. The theft is estimated at approximately $5 000.

The man is described as a white male with a tattoo on the right side of his neck. The man was wearing an “Ecko” brand hat and a plaid colored jacket. The getaway vehicle was a red/burgundy Honda Civic with an unknown driver.

The investigation is ongoing.
