Halifax Regional Police investigate​ convenience store robbery

Police are investigating a​ robbery​ at a convenience store in Halifax.

At approximately 2:02 a.m., Halifax Regional Police responded to a panic alarm at the Needs Convenience Store, 6130 Chebucto Road. Upon attending scene, police confirmed a robbery had just occurred at that location. 2 male suspects fled area on foot, headed down Windsor Street towards Quinpool Road. Suspects threatened store employee. No weapons seen. Store employee uninjured. Small amount of cash and cigarettes stolen.

First suspect described as a white male, wearing a black jacket, white and black plaid hat, blue jeans, white sneakers. Second suspect described as a white male, wearing a red sweater with hood, black jacket, white face mask, navy sweat pants, black sneakers with white soles. Halifax Regional Police K9 Unit assisted with search of surrounding area, however suspects were not located.
