NS SPCA Adoptable Highlight – Mokie

Stunning senior, Mokie is seeking his furever home. Mokie is estimated at 12 years young and​ is in need of some dental work. Unfortunately, at his current weight it is not safe to place him under sedation. He will need a home that can keep him active and on his weight control (Metabolic) diet to help achieve this goal.

He is currently around 7.36kg and needs to be close to 5kg before the surgery can take place. This required weight loss will also help him feel more comfortable as he was also diagnosed with bridging spondylosis.​ At this time, he is not in pain and does not require treatment for this condition.​

Although his adoption will be done when you take him home, the dental surgery will be done at the Dartmouth SPCA at no cost to the adopter. As a senior he has a reduced adoption fee.
