Traffic Delays – Parade in Downtown Halifax
Location: Upper Water and Barrington streets, Spring Garden Road, Queen Street, Morris Street and University Avenue, and Robie Street
Date: Saturday, Nov. 20
Time: 4:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Details: Traffic delays will be in place to facilitate the Holiday Parade of Lights.
Traffic impact: Traffic delays are expected as the parade travels through the community. The parade will begin at the Dockyards (Valour Way), head south on Upper Water and Barrington streets, west on Spring Garden Road, south on Queen Street, west on Morris Street and University Avenue, then Robie Street northbound.
The event will be escorted and traffic controlled by Halifax Regional Police. There will be street closures for the parade route and some adjacent streets, beginning at 430 p.m. Motorists should expect delays and are asked to use alternative routes whenever possible.

Police advise the public of planned street closures for the Holiday Parade of Lights
Police are advising the public of the planned street closures and parking restrictions in relation to the Holiday Parade of Lights in Halifax this weekend.
On November 20 at 6 p.m., the Holiday Parade of Lights will once again be winding its way through downtown Halifax. Halifax Regional Police is prepared and will have officers performing traffic control along the route to help ensure the safety of participants and road users.
Road closures and parking restrictions are expected to begin at 3 p.m. and will continue until 8 p.m. in some locations.
