NS SPCA Weekly Highlight – Sasha
**Palliative Care Candidate looking for a retirement home**
Sasha is a 13-year-old calico colored cat. She has found her way to us and is now looking for her furever home. The ideal home for Sasha is one with no other animals or children. She loves her toys, especially when they are covered in cat nip. It can take a few days for her to warm up to you, so patience is key with her, but it is so worth it in the end!
Sasha has been diagnosed with spondylosis, arthritis and has had a seizure in her current foster home. After an all-clear from the vet, she is now ready to find her new family that can continue to monitor her for any further signs. Due to Sasha’s medical history, she is part of our Palliative Care Program where her new furever family provides the love, home, and food and the Dartmouth SPCA with provide any necessary medical care for the rest of her life. Sasha is on regular pain medications to help with any discomfort from her spondylosis and arthritis so with this she needs regular bloodwork to ensure her body is not being affected by the continuous use.
Sasha is available for adoption from the Dartmouth SPCA, Interested in adopting? Read the next steps in the adoption process here: novascotiaspca.ca/adoptionprocess
