Fatal collision in Auburn
At 2:10 p.m. on April 30, Kings District RCMP responded to fatal collision involving a car and a cyclist on Hwy. 1 in Auburn.
Preliminary investigation determined the car was travelling eastbound on Hwy. 1 when the collision occurred. The cyclist, a 90-year-old man from Auburn, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The 25-year-old driver of the car was not injured.
Hwy. 1 was closed for several hours while the RCMP Collision Analyst was on scene. The highway has since been re-opened.
The investigation into the cause of the collision is ongoing.
