Police charge man for drug trafficking and dangerous driving​ ​

Police have charged a man for drug trafficking, dangerous driving and fleeing police after a brief pursuit in Halifax earlier this morning.

At approximately 3:45 a.m., police attempted to stop a vehicle on Inglis Street in Halifax. The officer activated their emergency lights and siren, but the driver refused to stop. The driver continued on to the 1000 block of Barrington Street where the vehicle collided with a tree.

The driver fled on foot but was arrested a short distance from the vehicle. Officers seized a quantity of cocaine and approximately $1,200.

Kyle St. Clair Rhodenizer, 28, is scheduled to appear in Halifax Provincial Court today to face charges of:

  • Drug trafficking
  • Dangerous operation of a conveyance
  • Flight from police
  • Resist arrest
