Police Investigate Weapons Call – Halifax
At 10:09 p.m., Halifax Regional Police responded to a report of gun shots at Connaught Avenue / Windsor Street Halifax.
Responding officers located evidence that a shooting did take place.
Traffic Blocked: South bound vehicle and pedestrian traffic is block on Connaught Avenue between Windsor Street and Chisholm Avenue.​
UPDATE: Connaught Avenue is re-opened to vehicles and pedestrians.​
At 10:38 p.m., police were notified an adult male with possible gun shot wounds arrived at the Queen Elizabeth II Hospital with life threatening injuries.​ The hospital is in lock down.
Investigators from Patrol and the General Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division are on scene.​ The investigation is in the early stages.
Police are asking anyone with information about this incident to call police at 902-490-5020.​
