Police Investigate Weapons Call – Halifax
At 10:09 p.m., Halifax Regional Police responded to a report of gun shots at Connaught Avenue / Windsor Street Halifax.
Responding officers located evidence that a shooting did take place.
Traffic Blocked: South bound vehicle and pedestrian traffic is block on Connaught Avenue between Windsor Street and Chisholm Avenue.
UPDATE: Connaught Avenue is re-opened to vehicles and pedestrians.
At 10:38 p.m., police were notified an adult male with possible gun shot wounds arrived at the Queen Elizabeth II Hospital with life threatening injuries. The hospital is in lock down.
Investigators from Patrol and the General Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division are on scene. The investigation is in the early stages.
Police are asking anyone with information about this incident to call police at 902-490-5020.
