Police issue tickets for failing to follow the Health Protection Act in a 2nd complaint in Halifax.
Halifax Regional Police issued four summary offence tickets early this morning for failing to comply with the regulations set out in the Health Protection Act.
Approximately 12:04 a.m. police received a report of a social gathering at a residence in the 1500 block of Wulnut Street Halifax that was exceeding the provincially mandated gathering limits. Officers issued four adult males each a Summary Offence Ticket for violating section 71(1b) of the Health Protection Act which carries a fine of $1,000.
** For clarification last night Halifax Regional Police responded to two separate reports of social gatherings failing to comply with the regulations set out in the Health Protection Act.
HRP is reminding everyone to follow the current public health measures related to the Covid-19 emergency.
