Police issue tickets for failing to follow the Health Protection Act in a 2nd complaint in Halifax.

Halifax Regional Police issued four summary offence tickets early this morning for failing to comply with the regulations set out in the Health Protection Act.​ ​

Approximately 12:04 a.m. police received a report of a social gathering at a residence in the 1500 block of Wulnut Street Halifax​ that was exceeding the provincially mandated gathering limits.​ Officers issued four adult males each a Summary Offence Ticket for violating section 71(1b) of the Health Protection Act which carries a fine of $1,000.

** For clarification last night Halifax Regional Police responded to two separate reports of social gatherings failing to comply with the regulations set out in the Health Protection Act.​ ​

First location:​ 1500 Block of Walnut Street Halifax.​ Officers issued four adult males each a Summary Offence Ticket for violating section 71(1b) of the the Health Protection Act.​21-21357
Second location:​ 1900 Block of Brunswick Street Halifax.​ Officers issued an adult male and adult female each a Summary Offence Ticket for violating section 71(1b) of the the Health Protection Act.​21-21362 **
