General Election Day this Saturday
Residents are reminded they have until 7 p.m. today to cast a ballot through online or phone voting in the municipal election.
Once the 7 p.m. deadline passes residents will next have an opportunity to vote on general election day this Saturday, Oct. 17.
The only voting method on general election day will be through paper ballots at polling stations.
Polls open at 8 a.m. across the municipality and will close at 7 p.m. For information on where to vote, go to halifax.ca/election or call the voter helpline at 902-490-8683.
Please note: All seats were acclaimed for the CSAP election, as well the seat on Regional Council for District 16.
Unofficial election results, including total number of votes and percentage, will be updated live on Halifax.ca/election beginning once polls close at 7 p.m. Once a seat has been won, a tweet will be issued via @hfxelections. A public service announcement with all unofficial results will be issued once all seats have been won. A public service announcement confirming official results will be issued the following week after a final vote count has concluded.
