Police investigate suspicious death in Halifax

At approximately, Halifax Regional Police responded to a report of an injured person in the area of 2406 Gottingen Street. Officers attended the scene and located a deceased female and an unresponsive male who was transported to the QE2 with life-threatening injuries. The male was later pronounced deceased, and the identity of the victims is still not known. Gottingen Street to Uniacke Street and Charles Street have been closed to traffic as the investigation continues.

The investigation, led by the Homicide Unit of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division, is ongoing and Forensic Identification officers are continuing to process the scene.
