RCMP seeking information about vehicle-pedestrian collision

RCMP Halifax Regional Detachment is seeking information from the public in relation to a vehicle-pedestrian collision in Cole Harbour.

On November 22, at approximately 8:20 p.m., RCMP officers, fire services, and EHS, responded to a report of a collision at the intersection of Cole Harbour Rd. and Caldwell Rd.

Investigators learned that a Subaru turning right onto Cole Harbour Rd. from Caldwell Rd. struck a pedestrian who had the right of way to cross from Cole Harbour Rd. to Portland St. A secondary collision then occurred when a white sedan travelling east on Cole Harbour Rd. struck the victim who had come to rest in the roadway. Both vehicles failed to remain at the scene.

The pedestrian, a 30-year-old Dartmouth woman, suffered serious injuries and was transported to hospital by EHS.

At this time, investigators believe the Subaru was driven by a white woman.

The investigation is ongoing.
