**** RCMP Media Release
On August 17 at approximately 9 a.m., an RCMP officer responded to a call about a Tohatsu 9.8 HP boat motor, serial number 002876BX, which was stolen off of a dingy at a sailing club in Glen Haven.
The investigation revealed that multiple boats at the club were entered into and damaged totalling over $3,000. Binoculars were also stolen from one boat and change was stolen from a vehicle parked at the entrance to one of the docks.
A review of security video footage showed that shortly after midnight, two males were at the club, travelling from boat to boat, carrying items, including the motor. The footage then showed the suspects putting the items in a cart and pushing it up the driveway.
Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call Halifax District RCMP at 902-885-2510.
