Traffic Delay – Lucasville Road
Location: Lucasville Road at the bridge over the Sackville River
Date: Monday, May 6 until early 2025
Time: 24/7
Work details: This work is to facilitate the rehabilitation of the Lucasville Bridge. This is in support of the 2021-25 Regional Council Strategic Priorities Plan to establish a safe and accessible integrated mobility network.
Traffic impact: Temporary traffic signals will be installed to control traffic flow through the work site as work progresses on the Lucasville Bridge rehabilitation project. Motorists should expect delays and are asked to take alternative routes whenever possible.

Street Closure – Burnside Drive
Location: Burnside Drive, between Akerley Boulevard and Wright Avenue
Date: April 29, 2024 to June 2024
Time: 24/7
Work details: This work is needed to support the construction of a new roundabout at the intersection of Akerley Boulevard and Burnside Drive.
Traffic impact: Detours will be in place for vehicles and pedestrians.orists should expect delays and are asked to use alternative routes where possible

Road Closure – Kidston Lake Beach Access Road
Location: Kidston Lake Beach Access Road, from the end of Fieldstone Street to the beach parking lot
Date: Friday, June 21
Time: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Work details: Municipal staff will be performing necessary tree pruning to improve emergency access to the beach area before the 2024 season.
Public access to Kidston Lake Beach will be maintained through the Rockingstone trails

Location: Ronald Smith Avenue, from Burnside Drive to Ilsley Avenue
Date: Saturday, June 22
Time: 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Work details: This work includes road repair in support of the 2021-25 Regional Council Strategic Priorities Plan to establish a safe and accessible integrated mobility network.
Traffic impact: Lane drops will be in place while work is underway. Motorists should expect delays and are asked to use alternative routes where possible.

Location: Wright Avenue, from Williams Avenue to Finlay Drive
Date: Tuesday, June 18
Time: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Location: Kempt Road, from Young Street to Lady Hammond Road
Date: Wednesday, June 19 to Friday, June 21

Location: Timberlea Village Parkway, between Highway 103 and St. Margarets Bay Road
Date: Monday, June 17 and Tuesday, June 18
Time: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Location: Hammonds Plains Road, between Rockcliffe Crescent and Northwood Road
Date: Monday, June 17 (overnight) and Tuesday, June 18 (overnight)
Time: 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.
Work Details: This work includes road repairs in support of the 2021-25 Regional Council Strategic Priorities Plan to establish a safe and accessible integrated mobility network.
Traffic Impact: There will be stop-and-go traffic in place during this overnight work. Motorists should expect delays and are asked to use alternative routes where possible.

Location: Almon Street, from Agricola Street to Robie Street
Date: Monday, June 17 to Monday, July 15
Time: 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Work details: This work is to facilitate excavation for sidewalk and bike lanes, which supports the 2021-25 Regional Council Strategic Priorities Plan to establish a safe and accessible integrated mobility network.
Traffic impact: An altered centre line will be in place while work is underway. Motorists should expect delays and are asked to use alternative routes whenever possible.

Road Closure – Barrington Street
Location: Barrington Street, between Blowers Street and Sackville Street
Date: Tuesday, June 18 to Wednesday, June 19
Time: 11:00 p.m. on June 18 to 2 a.m. on June 19
Work details: This work is to facilitate a crane lift in support of a renovation project at 1575 Barrington Street.
Traffic impact: A detour will be in place while work is underway. Traffic control will be in place to direct vehicles and pedestrians. Motorists should expect delays and are asked to use alternative routes whenever possible.

Road Closure – South Street
Location: South Street, between Robie to Henry Streets
Date: Tuesday, June 18
Time: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Work details: This closure is required for tree trimming.
Traffic impact: One sidewalk will be closed to pedestrians. Detour signage will be in place for vehicles and pedestrians. Motorists should expect delays and are asked to use alternative routes where possible.

Halifax Regional Municipality: Highway 103, Beechville
Highway 103 will be closed today, June 14, from Exit 2B to Exit 3 for emergency repairs to telecommunication lines.
Work will begin early this afternoon and is expected to be completed by late afternoon.
A detour will be in place.

ANTIGONISH COUNTY: Dunmore Road, Dunmore
Dunmore Road is closed from Marsh Cross Road to Blacksmith Valley Road until Monday, September 30, to replace Dunmore Brook Bridge.
A detour is in place.

ANTIGONISH COUNTY: Highway 104
Highway 104 from the Exit 38 eastbound off-ramp to 300 metres west of the Trunk 4 underpass is reduced to one lane for paving until Wednesday, July 31.
Work takes place weekdays from 6 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Traffic control is on-site.

COLCHESTER COUNTY: Donaldson Bridge, French River
Donaldson Bridge on Lake Road, about three kilometres west of Tatamagouche, is closed until further notice.
The detours are Trout Brook Road and Cooper Road.

COLCHESTER COUNTY: Old Truro Road, Tatamagouche
Old Truro Road from the Kennedy Hill intersection to Cross Road in North River is closed until further notice because of a large culvert failure.
A detour is in place.

COLCHESTER COUNTY: Slade Road, Tatamagouche
Slade Road is closed between Lake Road and West Tatamagouche Road until further notice because of a bridge closure.

CUMBERLAND COUNTY: Route 366
A section of Route 366 is closed because of a culvert failure. Only local traffic is allowed from East Amherst to Port Howe. A detour is available via Trunk 6.
The culvert is expected to be replaced this summer.

HALIFAX REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Highway 102, Bedford / Lower Sackville
Highway 102 near Exit 4C has regular lane closures and construction in both directions until Saturday, August 31, for construction of the Highway 107–Highway 102 interchange.
Work takes place weekdays from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the northbound lanes and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the southbound lanes. Traffic control is on-site. Both lanes will be open in the evening and overnight.
Motorists should expect delays and should use alternative routes when possible.

HALIFAX REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Highway 111 (Windsor Street Exchange), Halifax
Construction on the structure over Mackintosh Street will continue until further notice.
Traffic control is on-site.

INVERNESS COUNTY: Highway 105, Glendale to River Denys
The section of Highway 105 from Exit 2 to Exit 3 is reduced to one lane for paving until Saturday, August 31.
Traffic control is on-site. Work takes place on weekdays from sunrise to sunset.

INVERNESS COUNTY: Highway 105, Maple Brook
Highway 105 from one kilometre east of Maple Brook Road easterly for seven kilometres is reduced to one lane for paving until Thursday, August 1.

PICTOU COUNTY: Highway 106
Highway 106 from Exit 22 on Highway 104 to Exit 2 on Highway 106 – about 7.2 kilometres – is reduced to one lane for paving until Friday, June 28.
Work takes place weekdays from sunrise to sunset. Traffic control is on-site.

PICTOU COUNTY: Route 348, Sunnybrae
Route 348 from the Pictou–Guysborough county line northerly for seven kilometres is reduced to one lane for paving until Friday, August 30.
Work takes place weekdays from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Traffic control is on-site.

PICTOU COUNTY: Route 374, Hopewell
Route 374 from the Pictou–Guysborough county line northerly to Lorne Station Road is reduced to one lane for paving until Friday, June 28.

RICHMOND COUNTY: Port Royal Bridge, Isle Madame
The Port Royal Bridge on Port Royal Road is closed until further notice. A detour is in place on MacEachern Road.

SHELBURNE COUNTY: Highway 103, Jordan Falls
Highway 103 from Exit 24 easterly for about 7.9 kilometres will have alternating lane closures for paving until Thursday, August 1.
