3M™ PELTOR™ X4 Series Earmuffs recalled due to potential injury hazard

Issue

The recalled noise reducing earmuffs can develop cracks in the coloured portion of the plastic cups, posing a risk of overexposure to loud noise and sound.

Affected products

This recall involves 3M™ PELTOR™ X4 Series Earmuffs over-ear earmuffs designed for noise-reduction in industrial and occupational applications. The products come in multiple variations of over-the-head, behind-the-head, hard hat attached or full brim hard hat attached, and are either orange or green in colour.

Only earmuffs manufactured from March 2020 through September 2022 are included in this recall. The products have “3M Peltor”, “Made in Poland”, the cup model ID and the manufacture date printed on the outside of the earmuff.

What you should do

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled earmuffs and contact 3M to receive free replacement earmuffs, including free shipping.
