Help police identify a person of interest

RCMP/HRP integrated Criminal Investigation Division is asking for the public’s help to identify a person of interest following an incident in Cole Harbour.

At 9 p.m. on August 12, Halifax District RCMP were called to an assault that had taken place on Caldwell Rd. in Cole Harbor. The victim, a 20-year-old man, was walking on Caldwell Rd. when an SUV approached him. The victim was assaulted and sexually assaulted by the suspect.

The suspect is described as a white man, in his 40s or 50s, approximately 6-foot-3,​ 300 pounds, wearing a black baseball cap and a black non-surgical mask.​ The vehicle is described as a white small SUV, dark leather seats, with a​ blue handicapped placard.
